The mission of Lutherans Restoring Creation is to promote incorporation of care for creation into the full life and mission of the church, working in five areas: worship, education, discipleship, building & grounds, and public ministry/advocacy. For some timely information in these areas, see below:

Worship

Here are some creation-centered worship resources. Check out this eco-wedding liturgy. Consider Creation’s Praise: A Short Liturgical Reading of Genesis 1 – 2 and Revelation. A new creation-focused prayer is posted each week. Creation-focused commentaries on the lectionary are available from a Lutheran source.

Education

Hear from a variety of faith perspectives in Faith Perspectives Panel: Faith Response to Climate Migration online on January 12.  Learn What You Can Do to Confront Climate Change online on January 26.  Take a look at this new book, The Earth and the Fullness Thereof. Consider How to Move Climate Solutions Forward in 2025. Join the Cool Congregations Cohort, meeting monthly online in 2025, to green your congregation and reduce your congregation’s carbon footprint.

Discipleship

Build a better food system – join the Citizen-Consumer Community. While written for use during the holidays, choices for sustainable living: consumption is relevant at any time. Consider how faith calls you to act in Faith and Action.

Building & Grounds

Join the Cool Congregations Cohort, meeting monthly online in 2025, to green your congregation and reduce your congregation’s carbon footprint. Learn about EV Charging for Congregations. Public Ministry/Advocacy
