Beginning December 15 2025, Messiah Lutheran Church (Cypress, TX) is seeking a passionate and relational Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry to lead ministry for children, youth, and young adults (birth–college) and to support families in nurturing faith at home.
We’re looking for someone who:
✨ Loves building relationships with kids, youth, and families
✨ Can create a vibrant vision for CYF ministry
✨ Enjoys planning events, retreats, service projects, and milestone celebrations
✨ Can lead, equip, and encourage volunteers
✨ Values Lutheran theology and relational ministry
✨ Is organized, energetic, and spiritually grounded
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading weekly KidsKonnect
- Creating meaningful retreats, camps, and summer trips
- Supporting high school leadership teams
- Engaging college & young adults (including care packages)
- Partnering with parents and cultivating a welcoming, connected community
- Overseeing CYF planning, communication, and administration
📘 Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a related field or significant youth ministry experience required.
- Salary is commensurate with experience.
