Loa McNeese is stepping down in November. A long-time Lutheran, Loa has done a super job as our bookkeeper since 2014. She has also pitched in during staff interims.

Loa says, “Last year my family and I moved to a different suburb of Houston, which has made my drive to the synod office a 45-75 minute journey each way. It is therefore, not without sadness, that I will need to discontinue as the synod bookkeeper as of November 8, 2018. It has been fun keeping synod financials in order and I know that both Kathy [Collins, treasurer], Gretchen, Bishop and Staff are working hard to secure a smooth transition…”

Bishop Mike says, “Loa has been an awesome bookkeeper, and more. She is reliable and passionate about the work of this synod. She anticipated opportunities and shortfalls well in advance, offering suggestions and solutions. She will be missed.”

Office Manager Gretchen Lundquist is looking for bookkeeping coverage to start in November. It is currently a 20-hour a week job. If you have any leads or suggestions, send them to Gretchen@gulfcoastsynod.org.
